Students can have sometimes a hard time advocating for DEI at their institutions or in their organizations. However, a few panelists from the October webinar shared their insights for ways students can and should get involved with the fight for DEI.
APA is currently seeking proposals for the August 2021 annual meeting. Graduate students are invited to submit proposals for its "Psych Science in 3" program, which challenges students to present their research in three minutes. Eight finalists will compete for the top three prizes. Deadline to submit is January 12, 2021.
APA 2021 Call for Reviewers
SPSP is seeking interested graduate student members to review both symposia and poster submissions for the 2021 Division 8 APA programming. You will receive ~10 abstracts to review by January 19, 2021 and you will have approximately 3 weeks to complete your review. Contact Ludwin Molina, Division 8 Program Chair, with your name, affiliation and position by January 4, 2021 if you would like to participate.
Inside the Grant Panel returns to the annual convention this February. Three finalists will be evaluated by a panel of experienced social and personality grant reviewers, with one $3,000 grant winner selected along with two $1,000 grant runners-up.
